As biodefense issues regarding infectious disease become more complicated in the United States, so do developments for preventive vaccines. What possibilities are there to prevent catastrophic outbreaks and treat disease?

Artists Tiffany Holmes and Frances Whitehead, with choreographer Carrie Hanson, have tackled major environmental issues with surprising and concrete results. Whitehead is working with plant scientists, meterologists, and urban planners to use city parks as climate change laboratories.
