

Purchasing Tickets
How many tickets can I purchase? There are no limits to the number of tickets you can purchase.
Can you make reservations over the telephone? Yes. Please call Science Chicago at 773-947-3150 to reserve your tickets. Phone registrations can be made between 9:00 AM-5:00 PM CST, seven days a week. Reservation will be handled by the Museum of Science and Industry Call Center.
Can you make reservations over the Internet? Yes. Please reserve your tickets through www.sciencechicago.org. All tickets are sold based upon availability for specific dates, times and locations, are non-refundable and may not be exchanged. Tickets will be available up to thirty days in advance through www. sciencechicago.org and may be purchased up to 48 hours before the tour.
Will I get a confirmation?: Once your order has been placed, you will receive an email immediately that confirms receipt of your request, and serves as your ticket and credit card receipt.
Where do we pick up our tickets if purchased on the website? An email confirmation will be sent to you. Your confirmation will include details about where the tour meets, travel directions, and parking information.
Can I have a confirmation mailed to me? Orders placed by phone can be mailed by regular postal service.
Please explain the ticket fees. Science Chicago charges a $7 fee per ticket for most tours. Tours by bus or trolley are $12 per person. This cost is a flat fee.
Do you offer refunds? No. All tickets are sold based on availability for specific time and location, are non-refundable and may not be exchanged. All ticket sales are final unless the event is cancelled or rescheduled, or the facility is closed due to unforeseen circumstances or due to inclement weather.
Are there ticket discounts for seniors or students? No. Tickets are priced at $7 or $12 each for everyone.
Do you offer any discounts for nonprofit organizations? Yes, in some cases.Science Chicago has reserved spaces in tours for community groups, afterschool or educational programs, and science clubs serving Chicago area students ages 9-18 years old. If you would like to make a reservation for a group of ten (10) or more, please call Science Chicago at 773-947-3150 and ask to speak to Jean Westrick.

Where are the tours located?Tours will be conducted on location.
How do you get there? Can I get directions or a map? Information about driving directions and public transportation will be available at sciencechicago.com and your electronic reservation.
Where do you park? Parking instructions will be available at sciencechicago.com and your electronic reservation.
Where to meet for tour? Specific meeting locations will be available on your confirmation. Please look for signs for Science Saturday tours for onsite registration.
When should I arrive? For all tours, please arrive at least 15 minutes before the tour begins.
Tour Details
How long does the tour last? Tour times vary from 30 minutes to several hours. Please see www.sciencechicago.com for details on specific tours.
What can I expect? Each Science Saturday tour is unique. Please see sciencechicago.com for specific information about walking distances, capacity, specific activities and whether the tour will be held indoors or outdoors.
What should I wear? Appropriate clothing recommended. Dress for the weather, as tours will take place rain or shine. Many tours are outside or inside working research laboratories or industrial facilities. Comfortable shoes are recommended. Refer to the tour description for any additional requirements (some tours require closed-toed shoes or special attire).
What should I bring (if applicable)? Bring binoculars, camera, film, refreshments, sun block, sunglasses, and insect repellent.
Are tours handicapped accessible? Most tours are accessible; however some tours are not accessible by wheelchair. However should you need special accommodations, please notify Science Chicago 72 hours in advance if you need these services.
