Girls Plus Math is a residential math program held on the Western Illinois University campus for girls ages 11-13. This program encourages math study by introducing participants to math concepts, pattern recognition, analytical thinking, and computer skills. The program uses such tools as algebraic tiles, strategic and analytical games, webpage creation, and calculator activities to engage and teach students math. In addition students participate in crafts, swimming, cook outs, movie nights, and bowling in the afternoons and evenings.
